Arlington, Texas (AP) — Derek Carr and the Las Vegas Raiders received the necessary third-down support from Dallas cornerback Anthony Browne.
Daniel Carson kicked a 29-yard field goal overtime after Brown’s fourth pass-interference penalty kept the drive alive, and the Raiders defeated the Cowboys 36-33 on Thursday.
Carlson’s fifth field goal came after Brown was asked to interfere with Zey Jones on the third and 18th. All four of Brown’s interference penalties occurred due to the incomplete third down.
The Raiders had two third down conversions in total for the previous two games, three out of thirteen in this game. But Brown exceeded all that total himself.
Both teams set the highest season in terms of penalties and yards. The incoming penaltyyard NFL leader, Dallas, was 166-14 and Las Vegas was 110-14.
Dallas coach Mike McCarthy said, “28 penalties, I don’t know what you want me to say.” “Write what you want. I’m all about it.”
Raiders (6-5) lost three games in a row with their first Thanksgiving victory since 1968. Since then, it has been his fourth appearance on the holidays, with the previous two defeats at the Cowboys.
“It was like giving me goosebumps, I’m not going to lie,” Kerr said. “When the kick was over, I had a lot of memories when I was a kid.”

Dak Prescott passed 209 of the 375 yards in the fourth quarter. His 32-yard touchdown pass to Dalton Schultz and a two-point conversion toss to the tight end pulled the Cowboys (7-4) even at 30:00.
Carlson led Las Vegas 33-30 with a long career 56-yard player with 1:52 remaining. Greg Zuerlein, who missed an extra point after the first Dallas TD, said he was a 45-yard player with 19 seconds remaining.
Tony Pollard gave Dallas a 100-yard kick-off return in the third quarter, but was stopped within 15 yards to start extra time. The Cowboys have won three out of seven games, and the Raiders have won their third AFC West victory over the Cowboys, who lead the NFC East in the last four games.
Brown turned his back on Jones when Carr threw a pass with Las Vegas at 43. The penalty came after the Raiders were placed in Dallas 24 and the Cowboys were penalized twice for rushing through the line of scrimmage before the snap, followed by a winning kick.
Carr threw 373 yards, including a 56-yard touchdown strike to DeSean Jackson. Marcus Mariota scored a short goal with a shotgun keeper.
The Dallas attack struggled early on without the top receiver Amari Cooper (COVID-19 protocol) and CeeDee Lamb (concussion) and without the running back of Ezekiel Elliott, who suffered a right knee injury.
Jackson successfully touched down on the sideline to open the score and set up Josh Jacobs’ 1-yard TD by pulling one of the interference penalties against Brown in the end zone.
Sean McKeon had a 10-yard catch for his first career touchdown, the first point of the Cowboys. Elliott, who was limited to 9 carries at 25 yards, had a TD of 1 yard.
Dallas’ Kelvin Joseph and Raiders’ Roderic Teamer were sent off after receiving a personal foul penalty at the end of the Las Vegas punt on their first possession in the second half. Field judge Tom Hiddleston suffered a small cut on his chin during a flaca on the Raiders sideline.
The Cowboys have been accustomed to their opponents during the punt for the second straight week. And Rookie Joseph turned off the rest of the game for a week after staying home for personal reasons.
Having spent the first six years of 14 years in Philadelphia, Jackson has six career TD catches against his former NFC East rivals. Five of them cover at least 56 yards, including 91 yards in the Eagles in 2010 and 81 yards in the second stint in Philadelphia last season.
Raiders’ TE Darren Waller was excluded after leaving the game twice, first with a back injury and then with a knee problem. … DE Carl Nassib also injured his knee and didn’t come back, but CB Brandon Facyson didn’t.
Raiders: Another NFC East opponent, this time against Washington on December 5th.
Cowboys: Next Thursday in New Orleans. This is the sixth time Dallas has played Thursday after Thanksgiving in eight seasons.
